One Hand Clapping (a collection of zen stories)
Paperback (Edition: 2003)

ISBN 81-291-0216-1
Size: 7″ X 4.6″
Pages: 113
About the Book:
This book is a collection of zen stories that have withstood the test of time. Perhaps it is because Zen is a way of life offering profound insights into human nature, the cosmos, and spirituality. Or perhaps it is just because they are fun to tell. These stories capture all sorts of truths about life and death. But they are also witty, entertaining, and at times puzzling, even mind-bending. And they are not just the secret lessons of monks sequestered away in mountain monasteries. The ancient teachers intended these stories to be used by everyone, everywhere. On the bus to work, during meal times, taking an evening stroll with a friend- all of these situations and more lend themselves to these stories. Once you know a few of them, you will see opportunities to tell them popping up everywhere – when you are with your family, friends, and coworkers. Think of these tales as conversation pieces, as handy tools that you can lift out of your pocket to help you and others talk, think, and laugh about the wonderful and mysterious details of this thing we call Life.
Kyozan: A True Man of Zen
(Zen Masters Series)
by Osho
Hardcover
The Rebel Publishing House
ISBN 3893380809
Size: 8.4″ X 5.8″
Pages: 75 (Illustrated With B & W Figures)
From the Jacket:
Kyozan was a very simple man – not the philosophic kind, not a poet, nor a sculptor. Nothing can be said about him except that he was absolutely authentic, honest. If he does not know a thing he will say so, even at the risk of people thinking that he has fallen from his enlightenment. But this makes him a unique master.
Zen is full of unique masters, but Kyozan’s uniqueness is his simplicity. He is just like a child.
About the Author:
Osho has explained that his name is derived from William James’ word ‘oceanic’ which means dissolving into the ocean. Oceanic describes the experience, He says, but what about the experiencer?
For that we use the word ‘Osho’.
Later, He Came to find out that ‘Osho’ has also been used historically in the Far East, meaning “The Blessed One, on Whom the Sky Showers Flowers.”
From the Back of the Book:
These are not sermons in a church: these are communications.
A discourse, a sermon, remains within the limits of the mind. Only a communication can raise you beyond the mind, and that which is beyond the mind is Zen.

Dogen is saying, that forms don’t change into other forms. Winter remains winter, summer remains summer, but something inner moves from one climate to another climate which is beyond birth and beyond death, which is beyond life, which simply is.
You can give it any shape, any form, but you cannot take away its isness.
This isness is the greatest discovery of the East. The West has missed it completely.

From the Jacket
I am neither a savior nor a prophet. I am simply a man amongst you. I am not talking to you from a high peak, from the point of view that I know and you don’t know. I am talking to you man to man. All that I am saying to you is that there was a time when I was asleep just as you are asleep, and there is nothing wrong in it. It is perfectly okay with existence- you can sleep for eternity; but it is not good for you.
What you are seeing in your sleep is only dreams, hallucinations. If you want to know the reality and its beauty you have to wake up. And only you can do it, nobody can help you in any way.
I can go on shouting till my last breath. That will not help unless you are ready to hear and be receptive. And even if you hear, you are receptive, then too you have to walk the path from the circumference of your life to the centre of your being. Nobody can do it on your behalf. I teach the individual. Jesus tries to convince the masses; I don’t care about the masses at all. Religion is the greatest creative art, in which you create yourself again. You become the womb and you give birth from the mother’s womb is only physical. You have to give yourself a birth is going to bring your spiritually with all its flowers, with all its mysteries, with all its roses, with all its freedom, its truth, its beauty, its godliness. But you have to do it.
From the Back of the Book:
To me religion is an individual love affair with existence. I teach you rebellion! Come out of the masses. Stand alone like a lion and live your life according to your light. Find the light and it will show you the path. The path that is shown by your own light is the only path that is right. What others have been telling may be right for them; it cannot be right for you.

Zen-Yoga - A Creative Psychotherapy to Self-Integration
by P.J. Saher
Hardcover (Edition: 2004)
Motilal Banarsidass Pvt. Ltd.
ISBN 81-208-0809-6
Size: 8.8″ X 6.0″
Pages: 387 (B & W Illus: 25)
From the Jacket:
This fascinating and profound book of ancient, Eastern esoteric wisdom backed by the latest discoveries and experiments of modern science treats of the health of the soul by showing the relationship between soul and brain.
Here is a practical guide to Zen-Yoga, which can help to master suffering and harness latent powers. At a time when science is exploring outer space Zen-Yoga helps us to explore the inner space of the human psyche, to recognize within ourselves a new freedom – freedom to work out our destiny with integral consciousness or the divine supra-Self as the light within.
This book is a cybernetic exploration of mind’s inner space leading to expanded cosmo-electronic consciousness.
Having shown the differences between Eastern and Western thought-processes, Saher explains how the sages of the East have acquired that source of wisdom and bliss which our misguided youth seeks vainly in hallucinogenic drugs.
About the Author:
P.J. Saher, best known for his book Eastern Wisdom and Western Thought, was born in Bombay and studied in England and Germany. He gave up a career at the Bar to take up research in mysticism, mastered yoga, and came under the influence of first of Heidegger, then of Radhakrishnan and Huxley. He has published several widely read books in German.

by Osho Ranjeesh
Hardcover
The Rebel Publishing House
ISBN 3893380701
Size: 8.4″ X 5.8″
Pages: 186 (Illustrated With B & W Figures)
From the Jacket:
Isan was a great master as one can be, but he has left behind him neither great scriptures nor great commentaries.
His is a great master, but almost forgotten. Who remembers people who have not created great followings, who have not made organized religions, who have not chosen their successors, who have not made their religion a politics, a power in the material world? Isan did none of that. He simply lived silently. Of course thousands of disciples were attracted towards him, but it was not his fault. You can not blame him for it – it was just a magnetic force that he had become by disappearing into enlightenment.

Nansen: The Point of Departure
(Zen Masters Series)
by Osho Rajneesh
Hardcover
The Rebel Publishing House GmbH Colonge
ISBN 3893380671
Size: 8.5″ X 5.8″
Pages: 197
From the Jacket:
Nansen is a tremendous departure from the past spirituality, accepting secular and sacred as together, one – two aspects of one reality.
My love for Nansen is immense because of this understanding that the earth and the sky are not separate – are not separable – and both should be enjoyed. My own understanding is the same. I want the earth and the sky to be together. Only in their togetherness is wholeness; only in their togetherness is a joy, is a fulfillment. Buddha alone is half, Zorba alone is half, and unless they are together they can never be whole.

About the Osho
Osho defies categorization, reflecting everything from the individual quest for meaning to the most urgent social and political issues facing society today. His books are not written but are transcribed from recordings of extemporaneous talks given over a period of thirty-five years. Osho has been described by the Sunday Times in London as one of the “1000 Makers of the 20th Century” and by Sunday Mid-Day in India as one of the ten people – along with Gandhi, Nehru and Buddha – who have changed the destiny of India.
Osho has a stated aim of helping to create the conditions for the birth of a new kind of human being, characterized as “Zorba the Buddha” – one whose feet are firmly on the ground, yet whose hands can touch the stars. Running like a thread through all aspects of Osho is a vision that encompasses both the timeless wisdom of the East and the highest potential of Western science and technology.
He is synonymous with a revolutionary contribution to the science of inner transformation and an approach to meditation which specifically addresses the accelerated pace of contemporary life. The unique Osho Active Meditations are designed to allow the release of accumulated stress in the body and mind so that it is easier to be still and experience the thought-free state of meditation.
